Trollfjorden (the troll fjord): A narrow 2 kilometer long fjord, just 100 meters wide at the narrowest, and with 4-500 meter tall steep walls. Trollfjord cruises typically start in Svolvær (30 min scenic drive from Lillevik). There are many tour operators, and you can go with fast RIBs, normal boats, and slow, silent electric boats with spacious outdoor areas. Trollfjord cruises are often combined with sightseeing and historical information in the nearby archipelago - and also sea eagle sighting. From today's hike to a small mountain with a very big 360° view. There are many peaks like this in Lofoten, where you can hike in spectacular nature without meeting anyone. We won’t name this one here, but it’s easy to find on a map. The hike takes 3,5 hours if you go slow, stop for a dip in the small lake, and spend some time at the summit. Gimsøystraumen bridge, seen from Svarttind, the tallest peak at Gimsøy (767m). The concrete bridge is 839 metres (2,753 ft) long, the main span is 148 metres (486 ft), and the maximum clearance to the sea is 30 metres (98 ft). The bridge has 9 spans. Gimsøystraumen bridge was opened in 1981. It is one of many bridges that connect the islands of Lofoten to each other as part of the European route E10 highway. Together with the Sundklakkstraumen bridge (opened in 1976), it replaced the ferry route between Lyngvær on Austvågøya, Smorten on Vestvågøya, and Sundklakk on Gimsøya.
